Every year on June 16, artists around the world gather to celebrate James Joyce’s Ulysses. Pub crawls, live readings, performances, tours and music take over the streets of Dublin and are mirrored in celebrations worldwide.

What makes this particular piece of literature so captivating? What impression did Dublin make on James Joyce, and how did Joyce leave his mark on Dublin? Explore these questions and more in this 60-minute lecture hosted by Artistic & Executive Director, Alan Stanford.

Join the PICT Theatre artists LIVE on Zoom and Facebook on Tuesday, June 16! Each artist will read a new excerpt of Ulysses at the top of each hour from 12pm-7pm. Grab a pint and support local theater performers – all donations raised during our Bloomsday readings will be shared equally with the artists on your screens.

Featuring performances by Karen Baum, Ken Bolden, James FitzGerald, Martin Giles, Lisa Ann Goldsmith, Hazel Leroy, Saige Smith, and Allison Svagdis
