The Woman in Black
Mr. Kipps (Male aged 55+): Middle class and solid build. Actor need good vocal range as he will play multiple characters.
The Actor (Male aged 35+): Needs energy and flair. Will be the leading character within the play as it unfolds. Also need good vocal range.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Oberon/Thesius (Male 35+): King and King of Fairie. Elegant, stylish. Vocally strong and flexible. Excellent movement required.
Titania/Hypolita (Female 35+): Queen and Queen of Fairie. Elegant, stylish. Vocally strong and flexible. Excellent movement required.
Egaus/ Peter Quince (Male 40+): To play two roles. Grumpy father of Hermia. Anger and authority. Also, the gentle and confused director of the Interlude. Needs good comic ability.
Lysander/Snug: (Male 24+): Good looking, dynamic. Good physicality. Good vocal technique. Doubles as a “rude mechanical” Comic role.
Demetrius/Flute (Male 24+): Good looking, dynamic. Good physicality. Good vocal technique. Doubles as a “rude mechanical” Comic role.
Hermia/Snout (Female 22+): Attractive. Dynamic. Good physicality and comedic timing. Doubles as a “rude mechanical” Comic role.
Helena/Starveling (Female 22+0: Attractive. Dynamic. Taller than Hermia. Good physicality. Comedic timing. Doubles as a “rude mechanical” Comic role.
Bottom (Male 45+): Main comic character. A “rude mechanical” Bombastic and overly confident. Needs good vocal skills and comedic skills.
Puck (Male 15+): Fairie servant to Oberon. Must have very good movement and an ethereal look.
DA
Da (Male 55+): Main character. Working class. Must be able to play across a broad age range from 35 to 70. Comedic skills and good working-class Dublin accent.
Mother (Female 50): Main Female character. Must be able to play across the same age range as Da. Also, good working-class Dublin Accent.
Charlie (Male 35/40): Main narrative character. Speaks well. Middle class looks like a businessman. More stylish than Da and Mother.
Oliver (Male 35/40): But must be able to play much younger in the memory scenes. Not as prosperous as Charlie.
Drumm (Male 55+): Businessman. Should have a mean and pinched look. Very dry wit. Good middle-class Dublin accent.
Young Charlie (Male 18/22): Much younger version of Charlie for the memory sections. Must be able to play across an age range from 10 to 18. Good working-class Dublin Accent.
Mrs Prynn (Female 40+): Upper middle-class Dublin woman. Very well spoken. Wealthy snobbish type.
Mary (Female 17): Known as “The Yellow Peril.” Local girl all the boys want to date. But they are all afraid of her. Much nicer that her reputation.
