Run is Wednesday-Sundays, October 30-
November 20, 2021 with performances at 7:30 W-F, 2pm & 7:30 on Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays.

All rehearsals and performances are held in the Fred Rogers’ Studio at WQED in Pittsburgh, PA.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Actors: Please prepare a brief classical or Shakespearean monologue of your choosing. Videos should begin with a slate of your name and home city, and should be no longer than 2 minutes in length.

Stage Managers: Please submit your Resume to Alan Stanford at auditions@picttheatre.org no later than September 13, 2021.

BREAKDOWN

ORLANDO (Male, 20-35) – Our hero. Stage combat experience required.

OLIVER (Male, 25-40) – Our antagonist. Orlando’s older brother.

TOUCHSTONE – (Male, 50+), a mischievous servant of the court. This role is cast.

DUKE FREDERICK/SENIOR (Male, 50+) – Doubled roles of noble ruling brothers.

CORIN – (Male, 40+) A wise shepherd. This role is cast.

JACQUES (Male, 45+) – A courtier. Charming and poetic.

CELIA – (Female, 20s-30s). A noblewoman and Rosalind’s cousin. Ventures into the forest of Arden
with Rosalind. This role is cast.

ROSALIND – (Female, 20s-30s) A heroine who flees the court and disguises herself as a young man
to find her true love. This role is cast.

PHOEBE – (Female, 20s) a feisty and headstrong young lady, who falls in love with Rosalind in her
disguise. This role is cast.

SILVIUS/COURTIER (Male, 20-30) – A young shepherd. Strong dialect skills encouraged. Must be
able to clearly delineate characters. Doubles as non-speaking Courtier.

AUDREY/COURTIER (Female, 30-50) – A common country woman. Strong dialect skills encouraged.
Must be able to clearly delineate characters. Doubles as non-speaking Courtier.

LE BEAU/AMIENS (Male, 30+) – A Courtier. Must sing.

CHARLES/1st LORD/WILLIAM (MALE, 25+) – Athletic and formidable. Stage combat and strong
dialect skills required. Must be able to clearly delineate characters.

ADAM/SIR OLIVER (Female, 40+) – Strong dialect skills encouraged. Must be able to clearly delineate
characters.

DENIS/FORESTER/HYMEN/2nd SON (Characters are both male and female, 18+) – Must be able to
clearly delineate characters.
