Journey through Shakespeare’s joyous comdey in this free, two-part webinar series hosted by Alan Stanford!
William Shakespeare wrote Twelfth Night as an entertainment to be performed on that particular post-Christmas celebration, probably in 1602. But the play has nothing to do with the title. The subtitle – What You Will – tells us that the play is in fact a tale of unrequited love, and how we suffer for and by such feelings. Being a comedy, it is full of fun and laughter; being written by Shakespeare, much of that laughter is cruel and much of the love, deeply questionable. Join us in examining the manner in which Shakespeare tells us this tale and the lessons that it teaches us.
