Join us for two 60-minute lectures exploring the thrilling world of gothic horror – just the thing to prepare us for the delights and terrors of Halloween. Each lecture is FREE and appropriate for ages 12+.

SESSION 1 | FORBIDDEN LOVE, ETERNAL YOUTH, AND BLOOD

On Friday, Oct 23 we will examine those novels based on the desire for Blood, Eternal Youth, and Forbidden Love. And we will meet with Dracula, Carmilla, and The Picture of Dorian Gray.

SESSION 2 | THE DARK SIDE: STEVENSON, TOLKIEN, AND LOVECRAFT

On Friday, Oct 30 we will take a look at the monsters created by our fascination with, and search for the dark side and the writers who bring us there.
