PICT Junior Company

A comprehensive training program for the next generation of classic theatre artists

CALLING ALL YOUNG ARTISTS - APPLY TODAY!

This FREE 6-week course is open to students ages 14-20 interested in developing their individual performance skills in classic theatre.

Six applicants will be chosen for intensive training taught by members of the PICT Resident Company, held on Saturday mornings at WQED.

Come explore classical text by laying a foundation with two important elements: movement and voice and speech. As you incorporate the individual approaches of our Resident Company members, who will rotate in your training, you’ll begin layering these elements in harmony rather than in competition for a well-rounded, fuller “classroom" experience.

The program will culminate in a presentation on the ENDGAME stage in the historic Fred Rogers Studio.

Our Philosophy:

For the art of theatre to be well executed, the voice, body, and mind need to work as one entity. Therefore, any training must bring these elements together in a continual program of development. Mentorship and hands-on experience are essential tools to building confident, well-rounded performers.
